Spyro da Classic

What's this? Classic Spyro? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA???

Yeah, the reignited trilogy got me hyped. To be honest though, I never really got into the classics as I found the games boring and got into the more action based Legend of Spyro series, which I still adore to this day. With the redesign and new graphics of reignited, hopefully I can get into the Classics more. 

The reason why I thought the Classics were boring was because it felt slow paced to me and I felt it gave me no challenge, granted I never got far, but that's because I was already bored. It felt slow to play and there never seemed to be an actual story to play. I know there isn't much story to it because I watched some play-throughs of them, one of them being the first game. I can sum it up it all one sentence. The dragons makes fun of Norc, then Norc turns all the dragons into statues as revenge( except spyro for some unexplained reason), then spyro goes to free the dragons and beat Norc, and in the end Spyro brags about beating Norc. Yeah, that's it. Nothing to really invest into except to feel accomplishment of completing an entire collectathon. There's no character development, in fact nothing is learned as Norc turns all the dragons into crystal again and the cycle starts all over. (He also still doesn't crystallize Spyro even though he's his main threat.)

Despite all that, I'm hoping the reignited trilogy puts a little more story into the game and still keep its collectathon genre, while being a little more fast past in action. I really want to like reignite and can't wait for it's release in September.
